El Lobo Loco at Wolf Creek is the first event of the Cosmic Calendar and is great race for, single track skinning, technical tree skiing and of course powder on skinny skis like only the San Juans can offer.

The 2022 Bacon Brawl at Bluebird Backcountry is Sunday, February 13th.

This year we’re beyond excited to kick off some racing at the most unique ski resort in North America, Bluebird Backcountry.

Bluebird Backcountry perfectly splits the difference between the resort and the true backcountry. Food and drinks are available at the base area, and the après scene includes fire pits and s’mores from Camp Toasted, as well as camaraderie with like-minded folks. Race participants are welcome to explore Bluebird’s 1,200 acres of patrolled in-bounds terrain after the event, and for those who can’t get enough and want to keep exploring before or after the race, overnight camping is also available (four-season rigs recommended).

Cody’s Challenge is for everyone, from the professional racer to the first timer.

We encourage everyone and anyone to participate in what we think is the coolest race-for-a-cause in Colorado! All proceeds go directly to The Cody St. John Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to Professional Ski Patrollers for continuing medical education.

The TEAM Race at Taos Ski Valley is back for 2020 as the Rio Hondo Rando Raid on Sunday March 22nd.

THIS IS A 2 PERSON TEAM RACE!

The race will have a Race Division, Recreation Division and a Juniors Division. The Race class will have around 8000 vertical feet of climbing and descending. The Rec class will have approximately 3000 vertical feet of climbing and descending. Juniors will follow the Rec course.

The 2017 Irwin Lodge Race date is Saturday, December 9th. No place gets early snow like the Elk Mountains so get ready to get your December Race on. 

This event is on an all-backcountry course based out of the spectacular Irwin Lodge outside of Crested Butte. Due to the remote nature of this course (snowcat or snowmobile access only) registration will be capped at 75– so get on it!

Hidden up on the Grand Mesa, Powderhorn offers the terrain for incredible ski mountaineering race. With long ascents that snake through beautiful trees this race guarantees to challenge everyone from the experience racer to the first time ski mountaineer in a low pressure and fun atmosphere.
